How to Apply ? (For M. Tech Admission )

 

1. Kindly go through the brochure carefully to make sure that you are eligible for the program.

2. Click on the link http://coap.iitm.ac.in/  to register with Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) which is mandatory for M.Tech Admissions at IIT Palakkad.

3. Keep ready the soft copy of the following documents (if applicable) for uploading at the website

a.  Image file of your recent passport size photograph*. 

b. Image file of your Signature**.

c. Nationality certificate#(Any of the following: Birth Certificate or First page of your passport or Voter id or SSLC Certificate or Transfer Certificate (TC) showing Nationality or Certificate issued by approved Govt. agency for Nationality). Please note that Ration Card/ Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Domicile certificates are not authentic proof for nationality. therefore, please do not upload them.

d. Persons with Disability (PwD)# are required to upload a certificate of disability from the AUTHORIZED MEDICAL BOARD attached to one of the following - Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRC) for Physically Handicapped persons/ Special Employment Exchange for Physically Handicapped/ Government Hospital (District and State level).

e. SC/ST Certificate#.

f. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate#: To consider under OBC category, candidates should upload the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)      certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India issued by competent authorities.  If no valid OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate copy is enclosed, the candidate will be treated under General category.

g.  Income Cerificate# : To consider under EWS (Economically Weak Sections of General)  category, candidates should upload Income    Certificate from competent authority.

* - file in jpeg format, size, Min: 10 KB, Max.: 80KB, - Photo Size, Width: 30 mm, Height: 45 mm
** - file in jpeg format, size, Min: 10 KB, Max.: 80 KB, - Box Size, Width: 80 mm, Height: 35 mm

#- Upload scanned pdf file with maximum size of 2 MB. In case of multiple scanned pages merge them into single pdf file not exceeding greater than 2 MB.

4. Click on Create new account on the sidebar in this portal.

5. Enter a valid email address and a username to create a new account. A welcome message with login instructions will be sent the email address entered above.

6. Please check the spam folder, in case you do not see the mail in your inbox. The link in the welcome mail can only be used once to log in and will lead you to a page where you can set your password. After setting your password, you will be able to log in at this portal using your username and password.

7. Login to this portal.

8. Fill in the application form.

9. Please make sure that all the data are correct before submitting the form. After submission, no changes can be made.

10. Proceed  to make the payment by clicking the given link in the application. Please fill  the Billing Information in the payment portal.

11. You will get a mail on successful submission and on successful fee payment.
